Crime Alert - Theft of a Vehicle

Dear Resident,

 

Humberside Police are investigating a report of a Theft of a vehicle from Wold Road, Barrow Upon Humber.

 

The incident occurred between 19:30 and 07:30 on 11/04/2024. The offender(s) approached a secured Landrover Discovery, registration D10CKG that was parked on a driveway. Vehicle was taken whilst both keys were left inside the property, possible using a device to amplify the keys signal to gain entry and start the vehicle. 

 

If you have any CCTV footage (including video doorbell), saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref:  25000049254

To reduce the risk of your vehicle being stolen, please read through the below advice -

  • Keep your vehicle locked at all times
  • Make sure your vehicle alarm is set if it has one.
  • Consider using a steering wheel lock, we recommend Secured by Design accredited products. 
  • Don't leave your keys or fobs where they can be easily found.
  • If your vehicle has keyless entry, use a faraday pouch to prevent a reply theft.
  • Park your vehicle in a garage if you can, or in a secure location.
  • If you have CCTV, park your vehicle where it will be covered.
